Arabic video captions, answered

Is it free to add Arabic captions to a video?

You get $5 of credit when you sign up, with no card. Captions are charged as transcription, $0.15 per hour of audio, so a ten-minute video costs under three cents. If no speech is heard, you are not charged.

Will the captions be in dialect or Modern Standard Arabic?

In the dialect that was spoken. nutq's speech model keeps Gulf and Levantine Arabic as spoken instead of rewriting it into MSA, which matters for creators whose audience talks the same way.

Can I change the style after the captions are made?

Yes. What you choose here is where the studio starts: the style, the size and the position can all be changed there, and every line can be edited.

Can I export the captions as an SRT file?

Yes. Captions download as SRT or VTT, and the video export can burn them into the picture.

Can I translate the captions into English?

Yes. Add a caption language and the lines are translated with their timing kept, into English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Turkish, Hindi, Urdu, Japanese or Chinese.

Which videos work?

MP4, MOV and WEBM up to 1 GB, in any shape: landscape, vertical, square or portrait. The studio takes the frame from the video, and you can change it.

What happens to my video?

Until you sign in it never leaves your browser. After that it is uploaded to your studio project, so you can edit it and come back to it, and it is deleted with the project.
