In the Gulf, greetings are spoken. A voice note on WhatsApp from an aunt beats a typed «عيدكم مبارك», and a wedding invitation is often a recording passed from phone to phone. Most free Arabic text to speech reads those words like a station announcement: correct, formal, and cold. nutq-speak-3 reads them the way people actually say them, in Gulf voices, with warmth or excitement written into the text, and the credit every new account gets covers hundreds of them.
What can you make with it?
| Occasion | The feeling | Cue |
|---|---|---|
| Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha | Joy, then blessing | [excited], then [tender] |
| Ramadan | Calm and warm | [tender] |
| Eid Al Etihad, 2 December | Pride | [excited] |
| Wedding invitation | Warm, then celebratory | [tender], then [excited] |
| New baby | Tender congratulations | [tender] |
| Graduation | Surprise and pride | [surprised], [excited], [laughter] |
How do you make a voice greeting without code?
- Sign up. Every new account gets $5 of credit, with no card.
- Write the greeting the way you would say it, in dialect, with a cue where the feeling starts.
- Pick a voice. Hind, Alia and Noura are warm female voices; Hamdan, Sultan and Salem warm male ones. Hear them all in the voice library.
- Generate and download the WAV, then send it on WhatsApp or add it to a video.
If you use Claude or ChatGPT, you can also ask the assistant to write and voice the greeting for you; see how to make Claude or ChatGPT speak Arabic.
Which scripts can you use right away?
An Eid Mubarak voice message:
[excited] عيدكم مبارك، وعساكم من عواده! [pause:400] [tender] الله يعيده علينا وعليكم بالصحة والسلامة، وكل عام وانتوا بخير.
Ramadan:
Eid Al Etihad:
A wedding invitation:
A new baby:
A graduation:
Can one greeting have more than one voice?
Yes. Open each line with a voice's name and one file plays them in turn, so a family can send one Eid greeting from the parents and the children, or a couple can invite guests together:
[Hamdan] [tender]
Each voice keeps its own feeling until its next line, and the pauses between lines are free. If both of you clone your own voices first, the invitation really does come from the two of you. Keep the lines short and let each person say one thing; a greeting with six speakers turns into a meeting.
How do you make it sound like you?
Four small habits make a greeting sound personal rather than generated:
- Write in your own dialect. «وانتوا بخير» sounds like a person; «وأنتم بخير» sounds like a card.
- One feeling per sentence. Joy, then blessing, is enough.
- Add diacritics to names only if they are read the wrong way. Every cue is explained in Arabic text to speech with emotion.
- Keep it under 30 seconds. A greeting is a hug, not a speech.
The same text in the same voice gives the same reading, so if you want a different one, change a word or move a cue. And if you want the greeting in your own voice, record six to eight seconds of yourself and clone it; the clone takes the same cues. Searching for an Egyptian voice? Fatima reads Egyptian Arabic, without emotion cues.
Is it really free?
The sign-up credit is $5, with no card, and speech costs $0.05 per 1,000 characters. A 20-second greeting is about 260 characters, roughly 1.3 cents, so the credit covers about 380 greetings, and pauses are not billed. For personal messages that is usually more than enough for a whole season of Eids and weddings.
If you are sending greetings on behalf of a business, such as a brand's Ramadan message to customers or a voiceover for an Eid ad, that is commercial use, which the monthly plans license. For campaigns, see Arabic AI voiceover for ads, reels and audiobooks.

Questions people ask
Is there free Arabic text to speech that sounds natural?
nutq gives every new account $5 of credit, with no card, which covers about 100,000 characters of speech in its Gulf voices. That is hundreds of short greetings, read with the emotion you mark in the text.
Can the voice sound happy or warm?
Yes. Write cues such as [excited], [tender] or [amused] where the feeling starts, and [laughter] for a real laugh. Cues are written in English inside square brackets.
Can I send the greeting in my own voice?
Yes. Record six to eight seconds of yourself speaking clearly, clone it, and the greeting is read in your voice with the same emotion cues.
Is there an Egyptian voice?
Yes, Fatima reads Egyptian Arabic. She reads without emotion cues; laughter and emotions are for the Gulf voices.
Can a business use this for its Eid campaign?
Yes, on a monthly plan, which includes the commercial licence. The sign-up credit is for trying the voices and personal messages.
